Contacting your favorite Mini parts supplier (hopefully Heritage Garage) and asking for “a set of points for my 70 whatever Mini” is like calling your local hardware store looking for faucet washer and only telling them your house was built in the 70’s. Saturday was an extra special day at Cars and Coffee. Not only was it my birthday, it was BMC day. The works bus, one of two exported to the United States, was the featured vehicle. The Ford executives asked to have a few special British race cars on hand for a display in the corral. The rest of the corral was populated by other British marques. Forty-five plus classic Minis were in attendance. Another 10 were parked outside. It was a great day overall with many of the Mini marques represented. jay Leno attended the event once again. Saturday June 5th is th 3rd annual Steve McQueen car show at Boys Republic in Chino Hills. Last year there were about 200 cars on show. Chad McQueen will be there with some of Steve’s cars as well as the Bullitt international club. We have been asked to bring in the Mini's.
